Services
Next Generation Midwifery provides
complete maternity care. Well woman care and preconception/fertility counseling are also available. During the childbearing year, my services include:
- Prenatal appointments
- 24-hour/day availability to answer urgent questions
- Routine lab work
- Childbirth education
- Labor support
- Waterbirth
- Initial newborn exam
- Herbal bath for mother and baby -- a lovely bonding time!
- 3-4 postpartum check-ups,
including a home visit at 2-days postpartum
- Filing of the state birth
certificate
- Newborn screening test
- Pap smear
A free consultation is available to aid in your decision process and to see if I am a good "fit" for your midwifery needs.
I work with two assistants at each birth. Clients will have the opportunity to get acquainted with them during prenatal appointments. Often the birth assistants are also student midwives. If you wish to assist them in their training, you may choose whatever level of involvement fits your comfort zone! This is discussed further at the consultation visit.
